All trainees in the Texas Medical Center and surrounding Houston area are welcome to join the Houston Science Policy and Advocacy Group (HSPAG). Individuals are encouraged to apply to become a member via the application form below. Members are expected to make a commitment by attending one monthly meeting and helping to organize a quarterly event. If you are unable to make the time commitment, please join our mailing list. We send periodical newsletters to highlight upcoming events and general science policy news.

We expect to send one newsletter per month and other occasional emails with important dates and events. Anyone is welcome to participate in our events, but If you would like to become an official member of our group, please fill out the membership form below.
HSPAG Membership
SPG HTX invites all TMC trainees to become a part of the Science Policy Group HTX. As part of the application process, we ask that all who are interested fill out the application form below. This includes uploading a 250-500 word writing piece that addresses one of the provided prompts. All members are expected to attend one meeting per month and participate in one event per quarter. Membership applications are typically reviewed at the start of each academic semester. If you missed this window, please fill out the membership application and/or contact us, and we'd be happy to discuss ways for you to join our group.
